Hendred Sports Club acts as an umbrella for 3 self-run sports clubs all operating on our Sports Ground on Mill Lane

East Hendred
AFC

East Hendred AFC was founded in 1912 and but for the war years has run continually up to the present time.

We currently run 2 Adult Teams in The North Berks League In Divisions 1 and 2 playing on a Saturday afternoon.

This season we have also started an U21 team playing on Sunday afternoons in The Oxford Mail Youth League and have attracted some new young players which is good for the future of the Club.

Our teams have been successful over many years and our Ground and facilities are always well received by our visitors.

East and West Hendred Cricket Club

Hendred Cricket Club, established back in 1862, is a friendly village cricket club that welcomes anyone interested in cricket: Players of all standards and all ages, men & women, boys and girls, umpires, and volunteers.

We have two Oxfordshire Cricket Association league teams, a Sunday Friendly team, a mid-week 20-20 team, various youth teams and last but not least we support ECB Allstars cricket for 5-8 year olds. We have something for everyone so pop down to Mill Lane and join in!

Hendred
Tennis Club

Hendreds Tennis Club is wonderfully located at the Sports Club in the heart of East Hendred, a stone’s throw from excellent pubs and a village shop which stocks balls and reviving refreshments. We welcome members from near and further afield.

If you haven’t yet done so, we invite you to join our LTA affiliated, friendly, private club which enjoys a good standard of tennis. Families, individual adults or juniors can join at locally competitive rates. Membership of the club enables priority access to and online booking of two great refurbished courts in a superb location with parking. Members can take part in our regular club sessions, friendly matches with local teams, tournaments and social events. Members are also eligible for British Tennis membership benefits including the annual Wimbledon ballot. Premier Tennis provides tennis coaching for adults and juniors at the Club.
